On June 1, 2018 Impact Hub hosted our closing event, which was also an extended mentor meeting. Not only mentors and mentees were officially invited to the event, but also all of the AfroMag participants and representatives of internship and volunteering organisations. The event started with a musical opening, with beautiful songs from the gospel choir formed by some members of AfroMag participants.

Then our project leader Takács Emőke presented her presentation named “Project Results in Numbers’”. Emőke summed up the events of the past one and a half years, describing our activities and showed a brief statistics about AfroMag participants.

The next program was a round table discussion with the 15 mentees. Those fifteen, who can benefit from the project’s additional services, talked about what this period has given them. Among other things, they shared their experiences about their internship and volunteering experiences and expressed their gratitude to their mentors and the AfroMag team.

The mentees were followed by the mentors. They also expressed their opininon and thoughts about mentoring. The conversation was moderated by our coach, Ágnes Mező.

We have not forgotten the other participants of the AfroMag project, who have also been involved in labor market integration trainings, and volunteering in several organizations around the country. Their active and enduring work was rewarded with a certification and a gift voucher.

At the closing of the event, the gospel team surprised us with their song composition named AfroMag. Our surprise was a huge chocolate cake . The event was closed by an informal part in the end.

We are very proud of you and thank you for your active work! The AfroMag team became a super-community. We would also like to receive feedback from you! Fill out our satisfaction survey questionnaire so that we have the opportunity to improve.
